Pneumoccal Vaccination

Pneumococcus is a bacterial germ that can cause pneumonia, meningitis and blood infections.

Vaccination is now offered to:

All children aged under 2

Those over the age of 65

Those patients in high risk clinical groups e.g. patients without a spleen, having chronic lung disease, having a cochlear implant, chronic kidney disease, a poor immune system etc etc

Please check with the Practice Nurse if you qualify for a pneumococcal vaccination.
